Please join Big River VFW Post 5331 this Friday at 6:00pm for our annual POW/MIA Recognition Day Observance at the VFW Post Pavilion. In addition to recognizing and remembering our former prisoners of war and those missing in action, we will also recognize our Blue Star, Silver Star and Gold Star family members. All are encouraged to attend.

All floats are welcome!!!
Participants are encouraged to arrive between 8:00am – 8:30am
The flag ceremony will be held at 9:00am
The parade will begin at 9:45am

RESPOND TO THE CALL! GIVE BLOOD!
This is the first time for the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive to be held locally. It is a nationally held event pitting local municipal public safety departments in a competition to raise the most blood for the Red Cross.
Our own Cedar Hill Fire Department is in a challenge with our neighboring Hillsboro Fire Department.
The Battle of the Badges in Cedar Hill is on Friday, May 4th, and runs from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Big River VFW Post 5331.
Come to donate and receive a FREE American Red Cross T-shirt (while supplies last)!

Live entertainment will be provided by Stix Douglas in the bar area.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
Santa will be arriving at the Cedar Hill VFW Post 5331 on Saturday, December 16th at approximately 10:00am.
Bring your little ones and take a picture of them on Santa’s lap!!!
Our Children’s Christmas Store will be open that day as well from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Children up to the age of 12 can shop the Christmas Store. Each child is allowed to purchase up to 6 gifts for parents and grandparents. The cost of the gifts is 50 cents each. Our store has gifts for parents and grandparents only.
Free hot dogs and beverages will be served.
